“Enter into children’s play and you will find the place where
their minds, heart and souls meet.” - Axline
For me, supporting children has never been about labels or expectations — it is about seeing each child for who they are, understanding their unique needs, and helping them build resilience, confidence, and self-belief.
For over 20 years, I have consistently strived to empower children to overcome barriers and thrive through my work as a teacher and SENCo within mainstream primary education.
I became increasingly aware that many children needed much more than educational support alone. Raising my own two children also deepened my understanding of how vital the early years are in helping children flourish. I explored this area more within a Nursery setting, where child led play really came alive.
Going on to develop a play-based nurture room provision, I felt I had truly found my calling. Each day showed me just how powerful therapeutic relationships are in helping children feel secure, valued, and able to express themselves.
Witnessing the power of play for connection, re-engaging children with their bodies, their environment, and their learning was both humbling and inspiring. It was through following this passion that my path naturally led me from school-based work into the world of play therapy.
I began my journey in 2023 and feel privileged to walk alongside children and their families as they navigate challenges and work towards a happier, more confident future.
I am passionate about early support and strongly believe that every child should have access to effective therapeutic support before difficulties reach crisis point.
At the heart of everything I do is the child.
